I was told that my food stamps would end because I didn't participate in a class. What class would they be referring to and can I participate online?

You should receive a Notice of Mandatory Participation from the state if you’re required to participate in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Employment and Training. The letter will contain instructions for signing in and completing an online orientation and assessment, which can be completed on a computer at home, the library, in one of our career centers, or even on your cell phone. Only certain people are required to participate. If you are concerned that you may be required to participate to continue benefits, we encourage you to call the Florida Department of Children and Families at (866) 762-2237.
